Among 2026 blues festivals in Ohio and the Midwest, the Canton Blues Fest stands out for showcasing the region’s rich musical heritage. Don’t miss a full day of soulful, electrifying music, featuring a strong mix of local legends and up-and-coming stars of this uniquely American genre.

Headliner Shane Guerrette, an upstate New York artist whose retro-flavored blues and roots rock sound has been compared to The Black Keys, crafts music that feels both timeless and fresh. His self-produced 2022 debut, Here’s Hoping, surpassed 7 million streams, and he has spent the last few years recording and touring relentlessly, opening for respected acts like The Wood Brothers, The Sheepdogs, and Neal Francis.

Guerrette will share the main stage with Akron blues jam band The Delta Hand as well as Cleveland original Sam Hooper, who’s taken his homegrown blues across three continents and is said to have the soul of Otis Redding and the guitar fire of Jimi Hendrix.

After the plaza wraps, the party continues through 11 pm at other downtown venues with breakout shows by nine additional performers, including Gaetano’s Underworld Blues Band, John Caracillo, Erin Nicole and the Chill Factors, Michigan’s one-man rock & roll blues artist The Reverand Jesse Ray, and many more.
